I've completed 3 of the comforts I've sold so far and I feel really, really good about them. They went off in the mail today and I'm so hopeful! Surely even just that energy going out is a good healing thing for us all.
We took the girls to the science center today and had a BLAST! (Thanks Auntie Chrys!) The few little alligators and turtles they have were really active. We got to see one gator push up on his tail against the bottom and rear up. It was really amazing. Just as his posture started to change from quad to bipedal I got this rush of fear, a totally instinctual response, even though this alligator is like 2 feet long and behind a big plastic wall. My cells seemed to recognize it. I felt elated afterward. Clearly I need to get out in nature more.
The IMAX was Aliens of the Deep, which is all about these deep sea explorations of those crazy life forms found near underwater thermal vents. So amazing. The girls were blown away and actually sat pretty contentedly for about an hour of it. We kept saying, look! scientists like Auntie Breana!
Today Mander and I have mentioned several times how grateful we are.
Today's ritual: Open the refrigerator and contemplate how the sun provides food for plants that feed animals, including us. We eat the sun, we are the Universe.
