Ouch! Flip me over!
Feb. 20th, 2006 03:20 pmAfter a week of feeling sick, worried, sad and depressed I think I'm just down to blah today. But my new laptop bag has arrived and on the bottom the box says "Ouch! Flip me over!" which just seems like a good motto for the day.
Alright so here it is (as some of you know): Last weekend Ruby went into Boris' bed and he bit her on the face. She had to get stitches but she is ok and perfect and will be pretty much scar free (physically and so far it seems emotionally too.) We were incredibly lucky as far as that goes. She should not have been in his bed, he should not have bit her. It isn't our first incident and so it sealed his fate. Monday I took my beloved Bear to the vet (after all this animal control trauma, fighting them to not have him quarantined so that I could do what had to be done MY way) and held him in my arms while he gently passed to doggie heaven. It's taken pretty much all week to recover from that.
Today I just feel crappy, mostly I think because I've sworn off Diet Coke (again after a 4 or 5 year relapse) and I'm on day two of less caffeine, more water. Flushing my toxins I suppose. Ouch! Flip me over!
