I'm so excited! This stuff is fantastic! As in, I am so unmotivated to unpack our Christmas boxes and so INSPIRED by this fabric haul that I actually sewed NEW stockings yesterday. They're gorgeous. I used all these tapestries so they look all Old World. So great. I see much purse making in my future if I can master The Zipper.
I'm actually really pleased with my "make do with what's around" decorating theme this year. Mander laughed at me, clearly my whole "lack of spirit" is merely a dread of unpacking, packing, unpacking and packing once again the boxes with the ornaments and, presumably, stockings, stocking holders, etc. Oh well. Just. don'.t feel. like. doing. it. I plan to tidy up enough to take pictures of my "what was on the table" tree decorations later today too.
But the fabric! Shouts out to Randy who made the original score. He narrowed his original 5 bags down and I got 2, which is still way more than my sanity (and my family's nutritional health) can afford. I'm so psyched to share (and maybe any cash I make will go toward an overhaul on my poor abused sewing machine.)
